ABOUT ME:

  My name is Rene Keaton.  I am originally from East Tennessee. Working in the ad-specialty business starting as a simple embroidery machine operator, I worked my way up through the years to a production manager position. I was laid off in 2008, and left the industry. For several years afterward, I worked as a nanny and then a homemaker, working on art as my hobby. In the Fall of 2017, I decided to set up my own art and sewing workshop here in Kentucky. 

   As a member of the Garrard County, KY Arts Council, I currently serve as the fundraising chairperson. We are already planning several events for next year. Several of my art and embroidery pieces are available for sale in the Wherritt House Gifts Shop. It is located in the Garrard Arts Center, Lancaster, KY. In March of 2022, I created KRK Artistry, LLC. I am excited to see where it takes me.
